Eco Edit: Essential Brushes

Having a good set of brushes is essential to any makeup bag, and even though I don't wear a lot of makeup, having the tools to create any look I want whenever I want, is still essential. I had been recommended by a friend to try Ecotools a few months ago and I've finally gotten round to buying some of my own.

So. . . here are the eco details on the brushes:

- Cruelty free bristles
 -Natural and recycled materials
- Bamboo handle has low impact on earth's resources because it is a highly sustainable plant
-The ferrule is made from recycled aluminum
- Cosmetic case is made from natural cotton and hemp

Pretty good huh? And it's not just the eco credentials that make any of Ecotools' products worth purchasing, the brushes are genuinely brilliant. They're soft, great for blending and contouring, and the neat case it comes with makes it so compact and perfect for carrying around with you, it also protects the end of your brushes that might otherwise get ruined from being in your makeup bag alongside other products. All in all, this brush set has definitely lived up to my hopes and expectations, I'll definitely be exploring more of their range soon.

Do you use Ecotools? Or would you consider after reading this? Let me know below or tweet me at @dimplesdiaries !

  2. I don't believe in buying super cheap brushes at the drugstore and having them end up being scratchy and crappy, so I definitely recommend investing a few more dollars to get Ecotools vs. some brushes for under $5. I think for being a drugstore brush they are fabulous and are a good price and are SUCH GOOD QUALITY and so soft! I have a whole bunch from this line and I love them!

Sadly my ghetto drugstore doesn't sell Real Techniques so that leaves me to using only Eco-tools which tbh is fine by me! Just purchased their tapered blush brush and it made it to this months favorites post!

    nice review!

  3. I'm in need of some new make up brushes and these ones sound fab! :) I love the pouch they come in too. x
